The Flash-J SW series by Fish Arrow incorporates soft plastics of different characteristics designed to cover a variety of saltwater lure fishing techniques.
The peculiarity of these softies, or one of them, is inside the body, where a sheet of aluminum provides flashes and a certain resonance, perhaps not noticeable for the human being, but of course amplified in the water reaching the ear of fish. Undoubtedly, the body material of the Flash-J SW by Fish Arrow hasn’t been picked randomly since very successful mixtures have been used to achieve the necessary mobility and density, with the contribution of salts, which is better suited to use in saltwater.
Before putting the Flash-J SW by Fish Arrow in the store we went out to try them and were delighted with the results because, with a very simple rig, we have achieved a movement as realistic as the lures themselves that have triggered extremely violent strikes, assassinations to define them better, and very accurate ones.
For the moment in the shop you can find two models of the Flash-J SW series by Fish Arrow, the Flash-J SW 3 "and the Flash-J Split SW 4". The first has a straight tail that undoubtedly offers excellent results if we use it for extreme darting or in drop shot for example, but it could also be interesting to try weightless rigs for ultra-light spinning, and take advantage of the zigzag that it produces during a jerking retrieve. The Flash-J Split SW has a very thin V shaped tail that again, can deliver good results with darting heads, it also offers a broader range of use, more traditional we might say, as well as admitting a wide range of rigs.
Speaking of suitable fixes for these Flash-J SW by Fish Arrow, we can adapt the SV51 Darting jig heads by Decoy in the 5 to 7 grams range or the Jig Para Head Dart by Major Craft if we are looking something heavier, for a less restless action you have the OJ200 T-Power Finesse by OMTD, which is the first one that we have tried, or the OH1500T-Swimbait, by the same company. We would not rule out any more traditional heads like the Racing Jig Head by Molix or the Decoy VJ36. A rig that we would like to try with the Flash J Split SW 4 "is with a simple hook, but not how it would be right to fix it with the tip of the hook that points out the back, rather with the lure in horizontal position, and the hook that comes out of a flank. The idea is to reproduce the swim a fish that is dying and that therefore has lost its natural balance and moves sideways, dizzy. For this rig we have the OH1900and OH2700by OMTD or, if we want to add some weight, we have the OH1500again or we can add a Plus Sinker weight by Decoy in the shank of a hook.
What can we say, we love these Flash-J SW by Fish Arrow both how they look and how they fish but let’s be straight, these are lures for a little more advanced fishermen that are looking for details that are important and that at the same time, unfortunately, raise the price of the product, but do not doubt that they are worth it, especially with that very Japanese quality that we like a lot around here.
