Owner ST56 treble hooks 3X strong for medium purpose lure casting

The Owner ST56 treble hooks are classified as 3X strong, corrosion resistant and with an extra sharp point.

Its range of use is the medium tropical lure fishing, we can fish them with 50lb braid casting to pelagics like kingfish, large dorado or reef fish and in local waters, like the Mediterranean, they can perfectly match the largest predators of the like of leerfish, false albacore, dentex and smaller tunas. The hook resistance to bending it increases with the drag setting. With the Owner ST56 we can push up to 5 kilos of drag, yet, some large fish might be able to crush any kind of hooks with their mouth, but not likely one of the quarries mentioned above.

It is important to remember that a fishing equipment is like a rings chain, and if any of the rings is too weak, is going to spoil the whole set, no matter how strong is the rest. For this reason is important to match the drag setting with the line resistance and the split rings and hooks strength, not to mention the rod of course.

Anyway, the Owner ST56 is not an extreme treble hook and we believe this could be the perfect match for the majority of lures we use in the Med or Eastern Atlantic for the largestpredators. The smaller size could bring several advantages when chasing sea bass in very difficult areas, rough current or rocky spots where you need to put a lot of pressure on the fish. If the chrome finish doesn't bother you, it is also a great complement when fishing in freswhater for strong critters.
